Soft-Weird Engineer

                            Soft-Weird Engineer
I built a castle on the sky keeping an eye
that Einstein was an ordinary guy,
Don’t pry too fast the cock and bull story of an engineer
where Tagore turned a blind eye.
Dozed the intermediate away only to imagine
Newton as picking the marbles in the shore of syllabus,
Can’t cut the mustard of IIT league,
rather waited for a piece of cake like hocus pocus.
Once upon a time, I broke a leg in the exam rushing against the clock.
A blessing in disguise soothed the doubting Thomas
that it was not Thy mock!!!
Sometimes I cried over the split milk that
my castle does not exist and He stroke a slap on the wrist,
Pulled the plug of my earnest desires, a blue moon was last but not least!
Cherished the moment of being a kid in the block
and having an axe to grind with senior,
Four years silently breezed away to whisper its glory and only a job was savior. Suddenly, steering the wheel of promotion, I only could see the red signal of my boss, Far from the soft tune of life style,
I go for the extra mile for the sake of performance toss.
To steal someone’s thunder is the latest back-up plan and pass the buck,
I could not break the bar of small desk or Chinese wall of hectic schedule, I am stuck!!! Still I sail through the topsy-turvy wave like
the legend of Sindhbad and I feel like aloof,
Hey, Elvis has left the building but it was not a cry wolf!!
